Enhance Your Skills at a Company of Choice Delivering Quality Products for Employee Recognition Programs
The packager position is a manual handling, labour intensive job. Perform any combination of repetitive tasks on an assembly line for small products. People applying for this job should be flexible and able to multi-task. Experience working in a similar position is considered an asset. You will:
- Inspects materials, products, and containers at each step of packaging process to ensure that the products being packed are in shipping condition (good quality). Records information, such as weight, time, and date packaged.
- Obtain and sort/bulk orders.
- Ensure that piece count matches orders for specified orders Stamp order when verified.
- Ensure that proper (safe) boxes are being used in comparison to the size of shipment.
- Package and wrap protective material around product (pad crates and assemble cartons) destinated to be shipped or picked up to/from distribution facility
- Report defective materials or questionable conditions to his/her lead hand.
- Complete tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules with minimum supervision.
Qualifications / Skills Required:
- Basic knowledge of field’s concepts and practices within his/her unit
- Verbal communication skills, Partnering, Teamwork
- Customer oriented
- Judgment; Initiative
- Ability to multitask
- Attention to details, Dexterity
- Light physical effort; frequent lifting or moving of lightweight materials.
- Standing, bending and lifting up to approximately fifty pounds during a typical eight-hour workday.

- Languages: French and/or English
