Production Worker
QC - Montreal
Engage2Excel is actively looking for a dynamic person to join our Manufacturing team in the Montreal area. You will be in a manual handling station and assigned to our polishing station. This will include polishing tasks for different objects (such as jewelry, pins, etc.) prior to buffing final finishing using a rotating felt wheel. You will need to select the wheel according to the type of finish specified, to polish them using your knowledge of polishing operations and abrasives. The job consists to attach the appropriate wheel to the drive mechanism, manipulate the various parts against the abrasive wheel or the portable wheel, and thus eliminate surface defects.
- Polish and smooth jewelry, such as charms, pins or rings, using the polishing wheel (Sanding felt) - Polish the inside and outside of the rings
- Select the polishing wheel and the composition of the coating according to the type of metal to be polished and the type of finish desired
- Using the sandblasting machine
- Clean jewelry with ultrasonic equipment, finish with a different compound if necessary and then follow through to plating
- Observe and inspect equipment, objects, or pieces, to ensure that specifications are met.
- Keep the work area and equipment clean and tidy and follow prescribed safety rules.
- Complete tasks according to manufacturing guidelines with minimal supervision.
- Must have a willingness to work in all different related occupational categories.

WHAT TO BRING TO THE TABLE.
- Experience: 6 months to one year experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred)
- Knowledge of polishing, sandblast, ultrasonic machines is considered an asset
- Dexterity and attention to details; Aptitude for “hands-on” manufacturing related work
- Must be able to work quickly to produce a high-quality product.
- You demonstrate a positive “can do” attitude and a flexible approach.
- Seated most of the day although must have the ability to work standing, bending and lifting up to approximately ten pounds during a typical eight-hour workday;
- Language: French or English
