To be a good fit for the IT Project Manager opportunity, you will have:
  • A bachelor's or graduate degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience Quick question for you - click here
  • 2+ years of technical project management experience and demonstrated understanding of project management processes, strategies and methods; PMP certification is a plus
  • Experience managing multiple teams
  • Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle

Reporting to the Application Delivery Director, you will work closely with Software Developer team leads and other Managers. You'll lead several development teams, maintaining roadmaps and project plans in support of product development. This will include exploding strategic goals into technical specifications for the developers and reporting project progress to stakeholders on a regular basis. In addition to the qualifications described under The Requirements tab, you will need:
  • Knowledge of distributed web applications
  • The ability to develop roadmaps, including anticipating challenges and obstacles

  • A sense of personal accountability when it comes to both decision-making and supervising teams

Our preference is that you are based in the Montreal area, and we also will consider qualified candidates in other areas of Quebec. If you are based remotely, you'll need to travel to Montreal on occasion.

In addition to the responsibilities described under The Role tab, specific responsibilities will include:
  • Analyzing, planning and developing scheduled projects
  • Establishing and implementing training processes for technical personnel
  • Determining and defining clear deliverables, roles and responsibilities for all staff members
  • Acting as a scrum master and lead Agile processes
  • Holding regular technical team meetings to help address any questions or challenges regarding upcoming projects
  • Acting as a liaison among your teams, external teams and clients
