Manufacturing Manager
QC - Montreal
Engage2Excel group is looking for a professionally-dynamic person to join our Manufacturing supply Chain team in Canada. The Operations Manager is a high-level management position that works closely with the General Manager to help execute the organization’s operational goals. Oversee the development and costing of manufacturing items. We rely on open-minded individuals, who will bring value to our organization. KEY ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Driving continuous improvement to attain safety, quality, delivery, and cost metrics.
- Ensure schedule attainment, performance, quality and KPIs are consistently met.
- Identify knowledge gaps, training, and cross-training opportunities to maintain efficient operations all year round.
- Maintain relationship of local supplier network and support outsourced operations.
- Safety and security: Facility and operations meet all safety standards and regulations.
- Reporting: Customer SLAs, department health, progress, and production KPIs.
- Supervise equipment purchase, installation, and relocation.
- Identify and support outsourcing initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams in pricing, forecasting, and budgeting manufactured product.
- Identify improvement opportunities to support Montreal strategy, goals, and objectives.

Qualifications / Skills Required:
- Excellent knowledge of business rules and procedures within unit - Understanding all aspects of manufacturing from design, metals, finishes and costing.
- Good knowledge of company policies, procedures relevant to the unit
- Strong leadership (influencing, motivating, developing others)
- Strong business common sense and judgment which favor achievement of goals and objectives
- Good knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices
- Verbal communication skills, Partnering, Team work; Customer oriented
- Analysis and Synthesis – Ability to make decision – Problem solving, Creativity and Initiative
- Management skills; Ability to multi task; Time management and Organizational skills
- Tactfulness and Courtesy; Financial Acumen; Project management skills
- Attention to details; excellent data review and processing skills
- Accountability, Ability to work under minimum supervision
Experience:
- Minimum 5-10 years of related experience required
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within a manufacturing environment
- Previous experience using an ERP system; Aptitude for “hands-on” manufacturing related work.
- Must be able to work quickly to produce a high-quality product. Ability to effectively work under pressure
Education:
- University degree (other combination of education and experience level may be considered)
- Knowledge of MO (including internet) and in-house systems
Language:
- Bilingual (intermediate level)
