This is a hybrid role. Reporting to the CFO, as Group Controller, you will plan, establish, and manage the General Accounting function for the Group.  You will be responsible for managing the development and direction of the accounting staff, monthly close (including design and maintenance of month-end reconciliation schedules), financial statement preparation, budget preparation, tax compliance, and annual financial audit.  You will develop cross-functional relationships and communicate financial results to department managers. In addition, you’ll be responsible for the preparation and maintenance of internal control and process documentation. Quick question for you - click here

Your key responsibilities and authorities will include:
  • Overseeing the annual financial audit to ensure compliance with GAAP.
  • Supervising and coordinating reports to governmental agencies, including income tax, sales tax and escheatment reports.
  • Managing AP / AR and general ledger functions.
  • Reconciling Asset accounts, including prepaids, accrued, Fixed Asset and Intangible accounts.
  • Preparing monthly consolidated financial statements. Performing variance analysis and reviewing with management.
  • Preparing and maintaining control and process documentation.
  • Managing and developing personnel assigned to the Finance department.
Your success in this role will be visible as audits are passed with no major or minor non-compliances; financial metrics (i.e., Inventory Turns, DSO, DPO) are maintained above expected operating levels; and consolidated statements are delivered accurately and timely upon month-end closing, with organized reconciliations and supporting schedules available. You'll also maintain a continuous process improvement mindset, and, once you fully understand our processes, drive identified improvements such as time-to-close at month-end. We ask a lot from you, but also give a lot in return, helping you be the best you can be.

To be a strong fit for the Group Controller opportunity, you will bring exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail, self-motivation, and a proven ability to communicate professionally with all titles and levels of the organization. Additionally, you will have:
  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business with a concentration in accounting preferred, or equivalent experience; a CPA (preferred) and/or MBA is an advantage.  Quick question for you - click here
  • A minimum of 6 years of progressively responsible experience in accounting, with excellent accounting skills (month-end close, GL, AP / AR, debits & credits, financial statements, reconciliations, and accruals).
  • Proficient in GAAP.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills to effectively work with leaders and staff.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel; JDE experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Mergers & Acquisitions and/or integrations is an advantage.
  • Highly organized and calm under pressure.
