Inventory Planner/Buyer
MA- Attleboro
Job Purpose
The Inventory Planner will be responsible for forecasting and replenishment of materials required to support manufacturing floor production schedules and customer orders. This role will also work with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of orders from both domestic and international partners, while keeping inventory levels within a controlled level.
Key Responsibilities & Authorities
- Managing inventory levels via system reports to ensure timely and accurate delivery of required manufacturing components.
- Overseeing forecasting to plan for inventory requirements and be proactive in inventory planning needs
- Communicating with suppliers and manufacturing floor on status of open orders
- Managing orders against specified lead times and making adjustments to plan when lead times change
- Handle communications with multiple internal departments on status of manufacturing projects or requirements
Qualifications
- 3 years of previous experience in inventory management or supply chain management
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Knowledge of manufacturing process
- Prior experience in data analysis and decision making
- Experience in procurement is preferred

Desired Outcomes
- Inventory is held at manageable dollar value and amount of pieces on shelf (less than 4 weeks)
- No late orders to customers due to lack of inventory to use in manufacturing process
- Able to support international ordering and shipments; make decisions on how they should be processed, so products arrive from overseas suppliers with plenty of lead time to fulfill customer orders
