About the role
Engage2excel is looking for a Digital Print Operator. You will operate digital printers and various supporting equipment (i.e., folders, scorers and cutters) in a production environment to produce specified work – required set ups (paper types), quantity and quality.
As part of your primary responsibilities, you will:
- Prepare digital printing, folding, and cutting equipment for use (calibrate color and alignment, adjust printer and cutter settings, and replenish printer and cutter components as needed).
- Electronically submit variable, digital print jobs to digital printers. Send brochures, combine files, crop images, pull files from different locations as needed, execute jobs.
- Queue print jobs, impose and position, and load required paper for specific jobs.
- Check paper and print quality, confirm color accuracy (logos, cover, content, order form, signature and letter for brochures; logos, content, placement and signatures for certificates), image quality, registration (alignment), etc. Insure set ups are correct to support quantities required for each job.
- Finish, score, fold and cut digital print output to appropriate sizes for end requirements.
- Prioritize digital printing and cutting throughout the day to insure priorities are managed and workloads are balanced in downstream departments. Process “rushes”, accordingly.

To be successful in this role, you will have:
- 1-3 years of printing experience
- High School Diploma
- Basic Computer and Mechanical skills (changing toner, clean and change specific parts on printers blades for cutter).
- Knowledge of operation of digital printers and print job set up.
- Capability of calibrating color and making adjustments for color, alignment, registration, and page layouts on digital printers.
Safety or Health Hazards:
Cutting hazards with digital cutters, pinch / burn hazards on printers, and lacerations from paper cuts. Various slip, trip and fall hazards. Some lifting hazards associated with boxed print materials, as well as boxed printer paper stock.
Physical Requirements
This job requires constant standing and bending with the ability to carry 10 to 25 lbs of paper. Mental and visual alertness are required.
