Shipping and Receiving Clerk
QC - Montreal
The handling position is intensive manual work. Performs a variety of functions in loading, unloading, and/or moving materials that end up in the warehouse. Read the work order and/or follow verbal instructions. Can assemble, stack and/or package products placed on conveyors. Can load and unload materials from pallets, trays, shelves, displays, and shelving by hand. Can install frame, support rods, or padding to prevent displacement or damage while in transit using the cart or other devices. Can label boxes. Can work in a line where tasks vary throughout the line.
Main responsibilities:
- Performs general manual labor tasks including loading, unloading, and moving products.
- Unpack and receive merchandise, check the condition, and enter it into the resource management system.
- Prepare Delivery Notes and the Shipment of Goods
- Ensure that the number of units produced matches the units required for the order; Stamp the order once verified.
- Report defective materials or materials in questionable conditions to your team leader.
- Keep the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
- Complete tasks according to manufacturing schedule guidelines with minimal supervision.
Qualifications/Skills required:
- Knowledge of the global concepts and practices of his group

- Basic computer knowledge, comfort in using a computer (various resource management and shipping software, web browser, Outlook)
- Dexterity, Meticulousness, Dexterity
- Light physical exertion, frequent lifting or moving of light materials
- Standing, Reclining and Lifting about 50 pounds during a typical eight-hour day.
- Reliability, punctuality, organization, good time management
- Ability for manual work
Experiences required:
- Less than 6 months of relevant distribution experience required.
- Previous experience using the computer for basic functions.
- Practical experience working in logistics and warehousing
- Ability to work quickly in order to offer a high quality product. Ability to work under pressure.
Level of education required:
The Equivalent of a Partial High School Diploma
