Job Purpose
Merchandising Project Manager is responsible for managing all project requests that come in to the merchandising department from other teams, including Implementation, Sales, Customer Care, Client Success, Account Setup, Engineering, Pricing and Creative Services. This person will monitor the master calendar and manage the sourcing team’s priorities on which order projects are completed, as well as raise visibility to rush requests. They are responsible for ensuring all information is complete and accurate before the sourcing team begins working on a project. They will interact regularly with other departments and act as the department representative in any interactions on project status, RFP meetings, new program kick-offs, audits and weekly TFS status update calls.
Key Responsibilities & Authorities
- Project Management
- Manage all projects as they are submitted to the merchandising department from other areas in the company.
- Coordinate the master calendar for when projects will be done and monitor their progress thru the department
- Negotiate due dates or project expectations with other areas of the company
- Confirm all relevant details have been provided to successfully run a project through the merchandising team.
- Oversee the project tracker and Item Tracker reports. Keep them up to date.
- Manage the OMNI and Masterpiece pages for regular updates, page balance and ensure accuracy of images/copy added to pages.
- Customer Service
- Communicate clearly and regularly with other areas on status of projects
- Train new employees or do updated training with areas on how to submit requests into merchandising so they will be completed correctly
- Sourcing
- Manage product lines, as required, to the role, ie: e-cards in fusion/P3, other lines as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications
- Associates Degree in a relevant field of study
- A minimum of 1-3 years prior experience in project management or merchandising program management
- Customer Service skills
Preferred requirements
- Bachelors Degree preferred
- 5-10 years of experience in merchandising or project management
- Strong computer skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Database Management, Scheduling systems and JDE
