As the Senior Security Engineer, you will be responsible for protecting the system boundaries and ensuring the IT systems, applications and network devices are hardened against threats. Your primary focus will be working with the Firewalls, and with threat and vulnerability management. This position reports to the Director of Network & Security.
- Build, manage and administer the Checkpoint R77 GAIA Firewalls
- Build, manage and administer the F5 ASM Web Application Firewalls
- Manage and administer Windows Security with Group Policy objects
- Manage and Administer AV and Malware protection endpoints
- Manage and administer wireless security
- Vulnerability and Threat Management
- Implement new security technologies
- Design and plan security roadmaps
- Manage security reporting and remediation with the SIEM devices
- Manage and Secure all VPN tunnels for remote clients, as well as end user connectivity
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security or related major or commensurate work experience
- 5+ years working level experience in IT systems with a minimum of 3 years in IT Security
- Knowledge of security administration and role based security controls.
- Familiarity with authentication technologies and their interaction with different platforms, both on-site and remote.
- Knowledge of security systems log correlation and analysis.
- Knowledge of data encryption technologies.
- Understanding of web filtering technologies
- Securing Office 365 email and applications
- Expertise in vulnerability assessment and forensic tools.
Preferred Requirements:
- Moderate to advanced knowledge of F5 ASM Web Application Firewalls, and VMWare, Windows Operating Systems,
- Moderate to advanced knowledge of securing Window environments with Microsoft Group policy objects
- Moderate knowledge of Securing Wireless Technologies
- Moderate knowledge of audit requirements (PCI, SSAE-16, etc.,) and DDOS mitigation techniques
- Moderate analysis experience with Wireshark
- Advanced knowledge of Checkpoint GAIA Firewalls and IPS
- Advanced knowledge of current threat landscapes, networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, network layers, Ethernet) and penetration techniques
- Advanced knowledge of malware operation and indicators
- Advanced knowledge of Incident response handling for security incidents
- Security Certifications preferred but not limited to:
- CISSP
- Checkpoint
- F5
- Microsoft
- Manage individual workload and deliver to agreed-upon timelines
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills and attention to detail
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Demonstrate the ability to in team environment
- Excellent problem solving /analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to create/define metrics that accurately reflect the Security landscape
- Ability to present Security metrics in front of Executive Management
